About the position

The Remote Robotics Solutions Engineer at TAG Solutions is a customer-facing role focused on designing, installing, and supporting innovative robotic solutions for clients in the Western US region. This position requires collaboration with sales teams, engineers, and customers to ensure successful implementation and integration of robotic systems, while also providing mentorship and support to other team members.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Regional Sales Teams and Customers to design robotic solutions.
  • Assist with the installation, programming, and verification of solution integrity in the field.
  • Support customers in finding innovative ways to use products.
  • Develop supporting materials such as sample code, white papers, and application notes.
  • Assist in-house engineering with design and testing of features and integrations.
  • Participate in Regional Tradeshows and product demos.
  • Travel 50%-75% Monday to Friday to assist customers and support locations.
  • Mentor and provide expertise to other engineers and salespeople.
  • Perform other technical and sales duties as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Software, Mechanical, or Robotics.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in automation, controls, or a related field.
  • Experience with PLC, HMI, industrial computers, industrial communication and I/O, robotics, sensors, safety, machine vision, and industrial motion control preferred.
  • Strong analytical thinking and organizational skills with attention to detail and documentation.
  • Ability to communicate to varied audiences at different levels of abstraction.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience selecting and integrating a wide range of sensors, pneumatics, and industrial networking devices preferred.
  • Ability to excel in dynamic and ambitious environments, working with a diverse group of individuals.
