About the position
The Remote SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) position involves working on a contract project focused on upgrading the Investments, Debts, & Derivatives application. The role is crucial for ensuring software quality through both manual and automated testing, with a goal to transition from 85% manual testing to a balanced 50% manual and 50% automated testing. The SDET will be responsible for reviewing software requirements, preparing test scenarios, and maintaining automated test cases while analyzing test results and reporting findings to the project team.
Responsibilities
- Review software requirements and prepare test scenarios.
- Create and maintain automated test cases.
- Execute test suites and review reported bugs.
- Diagnose issues and ensure overall system quality prior to customer release.
- Analyze test results on database impacts, errors, or bugs, and usability.
- Prepare reports on all aspects related to software testing and report to the project team.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with manual and automated testing.
- Proficiency in MS Test.
- Experience with Selenium (C#).
- Data validation experience on MS SQL Server databases.
- Experience in the Financial/Banking industry.
