About the position

Aon is looking for a Seasonal Benefits Counselor to join our Health & Benefits business group. This is a work-from-home opportunity available to candidates in any state within the United States. As a Seasonal Benefits Counselor, you will play a crucial role in empowering results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions. The position is set to begin in September 2024, and you will be responsible for enhancing the enrollment experience for our client's workforce. In this role, you will attend virtual orientation and client training sessions to familiarize yourself with the processes and systems in place. You will be tasked with managing benefit enrollment cases assigned to you, ensuring that you communicate effectively and support the enrollment of both core and voluntary employee benefits in a call center environment. Maintaining a professional demeanor and being courteous to all customers and staff is essential, as is adhering to work schedules and attendance policies. You will be expected to keep informed about industry trends, new product information, and relevant legislation to continuously improve your knowledge and performance. Your ability to interact effectively with clients, co-workers, and vendors will be key to achieving the business goals of the company. Additionally, you will need to manage your workflow efficiently to ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions and other responsibilities. This position requires flexibility in working hours, as you may be required to work day or evening shifts based on workload and client requirements. You will also need to enter information accurately into the enrollment system and perform all other related duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Virtually attend orientation and client training
  • Elevate the enrollment experience of our client's workforce
  • Proficiency in the benefit enrollment cases assigned
  • Support the communication and enrollment of core and voluntary employee benefits in a call center environment
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and be courteous to all customers and staff
  • Adhere to all work and break schedules
  • Work remote flexible schedules based on workload and client requirements
  • Communicate information thoroughly and perform work completely and accurately
  • Enter information accurately into the enrollment system
  • Keep informed regarding industry information, new product information, legislation, coverages, and technology
  • Interact effectively with others and provide information and guidance as needed
  • Perform all other related and compatible duties as assigned
  • Set priorities and manage workflow to ensure efficient processing of transactions
  • Maintain cordial relationships with clients, co-workers, carriers, vendors, and other business contacts

Requirements

  • Experience in Customer Service and/or sales experience in person and over the phone
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal instruction and a high degree of accuracy
  • Proficiency in computer skills including navigating dual computer screens and working with various enrollment systems
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to work a flexible 8-hour shift with call center hours of 8am-8pm
  • Ability to manage replies in a chat workflow responding to inquiries with speed and accuracy
  • Ability to work from home, any location within the United States

Nice-to-haves
