About the position

We are seeking a Senior Android Developer with extensive experience in Kotlin and Kotlin Multiplatform to join our team for a 6+ month contract position. This role focuses on developing and maintaining enterprise access control solutions that enable fans to access events through various methods, including facial recognition and mobile ticketing. The position is primarily remote and requires a strong emphasis on frontend development, while also involving backend tasks as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, monitor, and maintain Kotlin Multiplatform code across various platforms and devices.
  • Lead medium to large projects as needed.
  • Provide thorough and timely code feedback to peers.
  • Translate concepts into practical applications.
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues.
  • Integrate and maintain vendor SDKs.
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, operation, support, and maintenance.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Management and Integrated Services teams to design new features.
  • Triage operational issues as they arise.
  • Perform server-side tasks, including setting up monitoring tools and managing remote data.
  • Participate in short-term planning of software projects.
  • Ensure high standards of code quality, performance, and reliability.

Requirements

  • At least four (4) years of Kotlin programming experience.
  • Strong experience with Kotlin Multiplatform.
  • Proficiency in frontend development.
  • Experience with the Android SDK.
  • Experience in server-side development.
  • Strong working knowledge of continuous delivery and build automation tools.
  • Experience working with remote data via REST APIs and JSON.
  • Ability to set up and manage monitoring tools, such as DataDog.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and proactive issue resolution.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies.
