About the position

The Senior Backend Java Developer will play a crucial role in modernizing the company's systems, focusing on backend development and API integration. This fully remote position requires collaboration with the team while also allowing for independent work on design and development tasks. The candidate will be responsible for developing new features, managing backend components, and supporting the transition from a monolithic architecture to microservices.

Responsibilities

• Develop new features and update existing systems.
• Participate in design reviews and collaborate with the team.
• Manage backend components, including Spring Boot Microservices and EJB/Wildfly.
• Integrate APIs and manage databases.
• Support the migration from a monolithic architecture to microservices.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional experience as a Software Engineer.
• Expertise in Java and Spring Boot for developing and maintaining scalable microservices.
• Experience designing and deploying SOAP or REST services.
• Proficient in SQL, including complex queries and data modeling.
• Familiarity with Linux and ability to navigate the OS efficiently.
• Experience with Enterprise JavaBeans (EJB) and Wildfly.

Nice-to-haves

• Background in system modernization from monolith to microservices.
