About the position

The Remote Senior Data Analyst will serve as a key data analyst for a Pharmacy Benefits Manager, focusing on Ohio Medicaid. This role involves performing research and requirement analysis, creating data specifications, and presenting findings to various stakeholders. The analyst will work closely with engineers to deploy models, build complex data sets, and utilize data visualization tools to share insights. The position requires a strong background in healthcare data analysis, particularly in Medicaid claims processing, and proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools like Tableau.

Responsibilities

  • Perform research and requirement analysis for data specifications and mapping documents.
  • Present findings to team members, clients, and vendors.
  • Collaborate with engineers to deploy models in batch and real-time, tracking model performance.
  • Build complex data sets from multiple sources and write data flows using Databricks, SQL, Spark, and scripting languages.
  • Utilize data visualization tools to share ongoing insights with stakeholders.
  • Generate performance metrics such as accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity.
  • Design, develop, test, validate, and deploy Machine Learning and Statistical models.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated knowledge of drug data file elements published by drug compendia/databases.
  • Familiarity with Pharmacy and non-Pharmacy Medicaid claims processing data.
  • Previous experience analyzing healthcare plan data focusing on medical claims and financial processing.
  • Ability to create meaningful data presentations and reports using Tableau.
  • Proficient in SQL, data models, and data element dictionaries.

Nice-to-haves

  • MS in Public Health/Public Health Administration or Computer Sciences - Statistics.
  • Experience with SSRS Reporting tool and Tableau.
  • Experience with Application and Data Analytics testing strategy and execution.
  • Knowledge of Payment Reform methodologies under the Affordable Care Act.
  • Experience with Data mining, Data Science, and Predictive analytics.
