About the position

The Senior IT Project Manager at Insight Global is responsible for managing multiple customer-facing IT infrastructure projects simultaneously. This role requires a strong focus on client interaction and project delivery, utilizing waterfall methodology to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. The project manager will lead project teams, communicate with customers, and handle any issues or escalations that arise during the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Leading project engagements to achieve the scope as described in Statements of Work.
• Conducting project kick-offs and creating a project schedule to ensure that the project is executed on time and on budget.
• Assembling the project team based on scope and expertise, establishing roles and responsibilities, and coordinating resources throughout the engagement.
• Communicating customer status updates, including action items, issues, and risks, and developing mitigation plans.
• Executing change requests to project scope, schedule, and/or cost as needed.
• Acting as the single point of contact for any issues or escalations throughout the project.
• Conducting project close activities to confirm deliverables were achieved.

Requirements

• 10+ years of project management experience
• 5+ years of external customer-facing project management experience
• Experience managing multiple, complex, customer-facing projects simultaneously
• Experience using waterfall methodology for IT infrastructure projects
• Proficiency in MS Office tools including MS Projects, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Ability to effectively allocate and manage project budgets
• Strong interpersonal skills, including collaboration and listening
• Ability to lead and motivate project teams
• Ability to monitor performance and provide actionable feedback

Nice-to-haves

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent
• Commitment to become PMP certified within one year of employment
