About the position

The Senior Software Engineering Manager will lead two engineering teams within the client's digital organization, focusing on a suite of applications that support franchisee tool kits and restaurant operations. This remote position involves overseeing engineering efforts, participating in architectural and code reviews, and aligning team objectives with organizational goals. The role also includes hiring and mentoring engineers, managing production issues, leading project initiatives, and tracking budgetary items.

Responsibilities

• Lead two engineering teams responsible for a suite of applications.
• Participate in architectural and code reviews.
• Conduct strategy sessions and develop roadmaps.
• Hire and mentor engineers to grow the team.
• Act as a point of escalation for production issues.
• Lead project initiatives and process improvements.
• Track and forecast budgetary items.

Requirements

• 5-10 years of experience in leading software engineering teams.
• 10+ years of experience in full stack software engineering.
• Ability to participate in hands-on engineering efforts.
• Well-versed in cloud-based technology, specifically AWS.
• Background in Java/Spring Boot development.
• Proficient in React/Typescript.
• Experience with containerization and CI/CD (Docker, Kubernetes, CircleCI).
• Strong communication skills to drive initiatives and collaborate with executive levels.
