About the position

The Senior Technical Project Manager at Green Dot is responsible for optimizing project and program management to deliver solutions within agreed scope, budget, schedule, and quality. This role emphasizes leadership, customer focus, and effective communication while managing complex projects and engaging with both internal and external partners. The position supports the company's mission of providing smart money management and payment solutions, leveraging a remote work model to attract top talent.

Responsibilities

  • Overall management, tracking, and reporting of project deliverables to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
  • Leverage subject matter experts and senior leadership to accomplish business objectives and influence stakeholders.
  • Set the direction and tone of the team while applying best practices to evolve the operating model.
  • Evaluate and implement opportunities to improve speed to market for product and partner implementations.
  • Act as a change agent to drive acceptance of required frameworks and methodologies.
  • Manage and optimize PMO processes and tools to deliver business value.
  • Oversee delivery plans for complex projects from planning through implementation and support.
  • Provide project management leadership and guidance for strategic projects, ensuring timely execution.
  • Capture and manage project risks/issues and execute risk mitigation plans.

Requirements

  • 8+ years in Project/Program Management within a large matrixed organization.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or 10+ years of demonstrated project management experience.
  • Proven track record of delivering on large scale or multiple initiatives.
  • Experience with all aspects of delivery including planning, budget, and execution.
  • Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage conflict and dissenting opinions effectively.
  • Experience in IT SDLC and familiarity with both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
  • Proficient in MS Office tools and prior experience using PPM tools.
