As a Software Engineering Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technology products that drive our business forward. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for guiding a team of skilled engineers in the design, delivery, and support of our core Title & Settlement product. You will leverage your technical expertise to implement modern engineering practices and ensure that our solutions are scalable, secure, and high-performing. Your hands-on approach will be essential in overcoming obstacles and driving the team towards achieving ambitious goals. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with product management and cross-functional teams to develop technology solutions that meet the needs of our customers. You will also focus on mentoring and developing your team, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and professional growth. Responsibilities

  • Provide vision and technical leadership to guide a team of engineers in designing, delivering, and supporting APIs and back-end services.
  • Collaborate with product management and cross-functional teams to design, develop, and validate technology solutions.
  • Mentor, coach, and support team members in their career and personal growth.
  • Drive implementation of technically sound solutions that meet quality and security standards.
  • Lead the team in achieving ambitious goals and driving continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years managing cross-functional engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • 6+ years of experience in developing software solutions/products throughout the full software development lifecycle.
  • Proven track record of delivering technical solutions balancing complexity, performance, and maintainability.
  • Strong leadership skills to mobilize and motivate a high-functioning engineering team.
  • Ability to architect and design robust, high-scale systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with C# (.NET Core, .NET Framework), TypeScript / Node.js or Golang.
  • Familiarity with containerized development (Docker) and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of relational (MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (DynamoDB) databases.
  • Experience with automated software testing (unit, integration, contract).
  • Familiarity with AWS Cloud Services.
