About the position
The Senior Data Analytics Engineer is a Technical Analyst responsible for building datasets, reports, analytics, dashboards, and visualizations. This role involves creating and scheduling Power BI datasets from the source to facilitate easy analysis and visualization for data analysts or business users.
Responsibilities
- Build datasets, reports, analytics, dashboards, and visualizations.
- Create and schedule Power BI datasets from the source.
- Collaborate with business units to define data needs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues in data analytics.
- Develop semantic data models, reports, and dashboards using Power BI Service and SSRS.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited Institution or equivalent industry experience.
- 5+ years of experience in data analytics or data engineering environment using Power BI Service with cloud & on-premise databases.
- In-depth experience in data analytics using Power BI Service, Power BI Report Server, and SSRS.
- In-depth experience in m-language.
- In-depth experience in building tabular models in SSAS and AAS for use with Power BI Reporting Service and Power BI Report Server.
- Proficiency in Databricks & SQL databases.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills.
- Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to multi-task and prioritize workload.
Nice-to-haves
- Knowledge of Python or other modern stack tools.
- Knowledge in data transformation, data warehousing, and deployment tools.
- Familiar with InfoSec control levels.
