About the position

The Systems Analyst (Networking) position is a remote contract role focused on supporting the Field Operations Services Information Systems team. The analyst will be responsible for analyzing and designing solutions to networking issues, providing technical support, and troubleshooting hardware and software problems. This role requires strong analytical skills and experience in documenting processes and requirements.

Responsibilities

• Elicit, gather, and document requirements
• Document business as-is/to-be processes and identify problems, gaps, and project objectives
• Research potential system solutions that would meet business operational needs
• Create test plans, test cases, and execute testing
• Record defects and retest bug fixes

Requirements

• 9+ years as a Systems Analyst, gathering/defining systems requirements, documenting processes, identifying gaps and testing
• Knowledge/experience with Intelligent Transportation Systems and/or experience supporting software systems for Transportation Agency maintenance and operations processes
• Experience analyzing and designing solutions to networking issues, including troubleshooting/diagnosing and solving hardware/software issues
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools such as Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Experienced eliciting and documenting system requirements
• Experienced performing as-is/to-be process/system analysis
• Experienced creating test plans, test cases, and executing testing
• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Bachelor's degree (required)
