About the position

The Tax Supervisor or Manager will play a crucial role in the Tax Team of a leading Southeast Regional CPA Firm, recognized for its exceptional workplace culture. This position involves planning, organizing, and completing tax engagements for a diverse client base, ensuring compliance with tax regulations while providing outstanding client service. The firm offers a flexible work environment, including fully remote opportunities, and emphasizes work-life balance with capped busy season hours and summer Fridays.

Responsibilities

• Preparation and review of partnership, C-Corp, S-Corp, NFP, individual, and corporate tax returns (1040, 1065, 1120, 1120S, 990)
• Assist with tax research, planning, and strategies to provide clients with tax savings solutions
• Develop and maintain productive working relationships with clients to provide exceptional service
• Execute technical review of tax returns prepared by staff members
• Manage workflow and supervise staff members
• Represent clients before taxing authorities
• Prepare and review tax provision calculations
• Ensure compliance with changes in tax regulations
• Assist with managing client relationships and business development activities

Requirements

• CPA designation OR EA
• 5+ years of tax experience
• Knowledge of partnership, C-Corp, S-Corp, NFP, individual, and corporate taxes
• Understanding of GAAP accounting
• Strong technical and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
