About the position

A company in the legal industry is seeking a Technical Writer to join their team, focusing on internal technical documentation for various software products. This position is particularly significant as it marks the introduction of the first Technical Writer within the organization, which means the selected candidate will play a crucial role in establishing documentation standards and practices. The Technical Writer will be expected to have a strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and software architecture, as they will need to navigate and document complex technical processes effectively. The role requires a proactive individual who is not afraid to trailblaze a path in creating comprehensive documentation that meets the needs of both technical and non-technical stakeholders. The Technical Writer will utilize SharePoint as a document repository, ensuring that all documentation is organized, accessible, and up-to-date. This position will involve collaborating with various teams, including software developers and project managers, to gather information and produce high-quality documentation that accurately reflects the functionality and usage of the software products. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise documentation that can be easily understood by users. Additionally, the Technical Writer will be responsible for maintaining and updating existing documentation as software products evolve and new features are introduced.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Technical Writer with a focus on documentation.
  • Extensive experience working within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and development architecture.
  • Proficiency in technologies such as .Net, SQL, React, Kubernetes, API, and microservices.
  • Experience working with a distributed workforce across Europe and Asia.
