About the position

The Remote Test Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality of software through rigorous testing processes. This role involves creating test plans, executing manual and automated tests, and documenting results to ensure software meets quality standards. The position requires collaboration within an Agile framework and the ability to guide junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Create test plans and test scenarios based on User Stories.
• Analyze and document software test results.
• Perform endpoint testing using Selenium/Postman.
• Automate testing processes using Linux and Bash scripting.
• Validate data using SQL Server.
• Conduct performance testing with JMeter.
• Test EDI and X12N HIPAA transactions in real-time.
• Perform component integration and regression testing.
• Develop SQA documentation aligned with software quality management in an Agile environment.
• Provide guidance to junior and mid-level software quality assurance engineers.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in software quality assurance or test engineering.
• 1+ years of experience creating test plans and manual test cases.
• 1+ years of experience analyzing and documenting software test results.
• Knowledge of Agile framework.
• Experience with Selenium/Postman for endpoint testing.
• Proficiency in Linux for automation (Bash scripting).
• Experience with SQL Server for data validation.
• Familiarity with JMeter for performance testing.
• Experience with EDI and X12N HIPAA transactions.
• Ability to create SQA documentation aligned with software quality management.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination.
• Bachelor's degree.
• 1+ years of experience providing guidance to junior and mid-level engineers.
• 1+ years of experience with the Department of Veterans Affairs.
