About the position
The Remote Travel Consultant/Agent position involves assisting clients in planning and booking their vacation arrangements. The role focuses on enhancing client satisfaction by providing tailored travel experiences and addressing any issues that may arise during the travel process.
Responsibilities
- Consult with potential clients to assess specific needs including preferences and budget.
- Research, create, and book vacation itineraries.
- Effectively communicate with clients pre and post vacation to ensure satisfaction.
- Handle client issues that arise before, during, and after they travel.
- Solve unforeseen problems and complaints and determine eligibility for money returns.
- Attend ongoing trainings to maintain familiarity with tourism trends.
- Create and update electronic records of clients.
- Maintain relationships with suppliers and other key persons within the industry.
Requirements
- Great enthusiasm for traveling and planning.
- Ability to effectively communicate with clients to determine their specific needs.
- Research skills to find various destinations and vacation options.
