About the position
The Remote Truss Designer at UFP Industries, Inc. plays a crucial role in the operations team by designing roof and floor trusses for various construction projects. Responsibilities
- Design metal plate-connected wood trusses and Wall Panels utilizing Mitek software
- Optimize designs for maximum efficiency
- Review orders, layouts, and data files for accuracy
- Assist sales and production with design service and troubleshooting
- Perform other duties as required
Requirements
- Minimum high school graduate
- Preferred bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent
- Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in related field/responsibilities
- Working knowledge and experience using Mitek software are preferred
- Working knowledge of floor and roof systems and the ability to spec out beams and hangars
