We are seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking individual to join our team as a Remote Virtual Audiologist or Hearing Aid Dispenser. This position is designed for a licensed professional who is not looking for a typical audiologist role but rather a flexible opportunity to work independently from home. This role offers the chance to grow within the company while providing essential services to patients in need of hearing assessments and solutions. In this position, you will conduct hearing tests and evaluations remotely, recommending and fitting appropriate hearing aids based on individual patient needs and preferences. You will also provide counseling and education to patients regarding the use, maintenance, and expectations of their hearing aids. Accurate record-keeping of patient interactions, test results, and equipment inventory is crucial, as is staying informed about advancements in hearing aid technology and industry trends. This is a contracted position where you will be compensated per initial appointment, along with a generous commission structure. You will have the flexibility to choose your own hours, providing you with the opportunity to manage your schedule effectively. The goal is to fill 5-10 appointment slots each month, allowing you to supplement your income while enjoying the benefits of remote work.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct hearing tests and evaluations to assess patients' hearing abilities remotely
  • Recommend and fit appropriate hearing aids based on patients' needs and preferences
  • Provide counseling and education to patients on hearing aid use, maintenance, and expectations
  • Keep accurate records of patient interactions, test results, and equipment inventory
  • Stay up-to-date with advancements in hearing aid technology and industry trends

Requirements

  • Valid state license or certification as a Hearing Aid Dispenser
  • Knowledge of medical imaging, physiology, and anatomy related to the auditory system
  • Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations using specialized equipment
  • Proficiency in medical terminology related to audiology and hearing healthcare
  • Prior experience as a Hearing Aid Dispenser is required
