About the position

The Renewable Energy Site Representative plays a crucial role in facilitating communication and operational support between the organization and clients in the wind and solar energy sectors. This position involves engaging with clients, monitoring contractor activities, and supporting field operations to ensure successful project execution. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and possesses strong interpersonal and technical skills to effectively manage client relationships and contractor activities.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary on-site contact for clients, addressing inquiries and ensuring a positive client experience.
  • Review contractors' installation against contract requirements, design, and client specifications.
  • Monitor contractor installations for wind and solar projects across various disciplines including Civil Works, Medium Voltage, High Voltage, Mechanical Installations, and Solar Foundation and Module Installation.
  • Conduct regular reviews and provide feedback on contractor performance and adherence to project standards and requirements.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of site activities, including daily site reports, quality inspection documentation, progress reports, and compliance with safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and contractors to address project challenges and maintain timelines.
  • Maintain professional relations between client and contractor.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in environmental compliance and renewable energy projects.
  • Knowledge in one of the following disciplines: civil works, MV and HV systems, turbine installations, and solar module installations.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency with computerized systems for tracking and reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with clients, contractors, and team members.
  • Knowledge and/or training in industry standards specific to their field, such as ACI, ASTM, NEC, IEEE 1547, NESC, NFPA 70E, IEC 61400, UL 1703/1741, AISC, AWS D1.1, and OSHA regulations.
  • Understanding of ISO 9001/14001, LEED, and EPA guidelines.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in power projects or construction site management is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with PMBOK or FIDIC project management methodologies.
