About the position

The RNG Plant Manager is responsible for managing the Landfill Gas to Renewable Natural Gas facility, ensuring maximum production while adhering to safety and environmental compliance standards. This role involves overseeing plant operations, maintenance, and coordination with landfill management, acting as a plant owner to meet operational objectives. The position requires a hands-on approach to equipment operation and maintenance, as well as effective communication with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Landfill Gas to Renewable Natural Gas facility to maximize production.
  • Ensure safe work practices and environmental compliance.
  • Oversee timely maintenance and compliance with contracts.
  • Coordinate with landfill management and operations.
  • Perform intermediate to advanced level Instrument and Control repair, maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting.
  • Capture data and evaluate actions for optimized plant performance within budgets.
  • Organize and manage small to large scale plant outages and projects.
  • Lead and coordinate all 3rd party vendors for maintenance and compliance issues.
  • Inspect plant machinery and equipment, performing necessary repairs and maintenance.
  • Implement safety policies and practices for all work activities.
  • Procure plant supplies and manage the annual budget efficiently.
  • Respond to plant shutdowns during non-business hours to diagnose and rectify issues.
  • Maintain facility spare inventory and provide written inventory counts twice annually.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 5 years of relevant work experience in a plant operations or maintenance environment required.
  • Valid Driver License required.

  • Previous RNG Operations experience
  • Gas processing or pipeline operations experience
  • Gas compression and gas conditioning knowledge
  • Controls and programming experience
  • Landfill gas collections experience
  • Automotive or Heavy Equipment technician experience
  • Refrigeration or HVAC experience
  • Skilled in P&ID or electrical drawing interpretation
  • Project management experience
