About the position

CES Integrated Corporation is seeking a Renovation Technician to join our team, dedicated to providing regular maintenance, repairs, and improvements for multifamily apartment homes, particularly for low-income housing property management companies. This role is essential in preparing apartment homes for residency, which includes a variety of tasks such as carpentry repairs, painting, flooring installation, plumbing, and minor electrical repairs. Occasionally, the technician may also be involved in exterior repairs and maintenance projects, including power washing and general carpentry repairs. As a Renovation Technician, you will assist supervisors in completing all assigned tasks necessary for project completion, primarily focusing on painting and installing flooring in unoccupied apartments. Your responsibilities will also include the installation of cabinetry, countertops, blinds, and other interior elements, as well as performing minor plumbing and electrical repairs. You will be expected to identify and gather the necessary tools, materials, and equipment for each job, document the services provided, and log information into the company database. Working collaboratively with team members, you will ensure quality work while maintaining a professional attitude during client interactions. Key responsibilities include preparing surfaces for painting, applying finishes, and ensuring clean and neat paint lines. You will also be responsible for the preparation and installation of flooring, including removing existing materials and preparing subsurfaces. Carpentry tasks will involve measuring, fabricating, and installing various elements, as well as performing minor repairs and maintenance tasks related to doors, windows, and cabinets. This position requires a self-motivated individual who is eager to learn and grow within the field of construction renovations and maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Assist supervisors with the completion of all assigned tasks required for project completion.
  • Perform painting tasks, including preparation and application of finishes on both interior and exterior surfaces.
  • Prepare surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, and patching holes or imperfections.
  • Install flooring materials, including LVT and carpet tiles, and prepare subsurfaces for installation.
  • Measure, fabricate, and install cabinetry, countertops, and wood trim.
  • Perform minor plumbing and electrical repairs as needed.
  • Document services provided and log information into the company database.
  • Work alongside team members to complete quality work and share knowledge.

Requirements

  • Proven prior experience as a carpenter, flooring installer, and painter, preferably in a residential or apartment maintenance setting.
  • Proficiency in using carpentry tools and equipment, including ladders, saws, drills, chisels, and measuring devices.
  • Strong knowledge of different types of wood, finishes, paints, and their applications.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members, residents, and property management.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks that may involve lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds in a safe manner on a regular basis.
