About the position

The Branch Manager at Wagner Equipment Co. is responsible for the efficient and profitable operation of the assigned branch, ensuring alignment with the company's vision of teamwork and excellence. This role involves overseeing personnel management, budget compliance, policy enforcement, and operational effectiveness, while also advising the Regional Operations Manager on strategic decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain reports requested by the Regional Operations or Operations Manager
  • Plan and monitor annual budget; note any special circumstances that may create a budget variance
  • Ensure all departments maintain their responsibilities (Rental Counter, Service Department, Sale and Rental Department, etc.)
  • Submit payroll information on a timely basis to ensure employees are paid as scheduled
  • Supervise store purchases and process A/P documents to ensure timely payment to vendors
  • Establish processes with store employees that support safe and profitable operations
  • Develop and coordinate effective work schedules for all areas of the branch
  • Create, review and maintain immediate and long term plans for proper resource utilization
  • Develop a climate of Safety First by modeling and enforcing all safety procedures
  • Set the model of professionalism by establishing good housekeeping procedures
  • Build strong relationships with field and office personnel, customers, and vendors
  • Establish regular meetings with key personnel and the entire branch
  • Act as a coach and mentor to employees
  • Learn and understand the products and services provided by Wagner Rents
  • Communicate product and service information with customers to promote sales
  • Review and ensure warranty issues are handled in the best interest of the company
  • Increase product knowledge to serve as a valuable resource to the branch
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the manager

Requirements

  • Proven experience in branch management or a similar role
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to analyze financial reports and budgets
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and product knowledge
  • Proficient in data entry and organizational skills

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the equipment rental industry
  • Familiarity with financial management software
  • Previous experience in a customer service-oriented environment
