About the position

The Rental Operations Supervisor at Lonestar Equipment Solutions is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the rental department, ensuring effective management of customer service, billing, and dispatching functions. This role involves supervising a team of rental coordinators, addressing escalations, and collaborating with leadership to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies for operational efficiency. The position requires strong management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate employees while contributing to the company's long-term goals.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and oversee the team of rental coordinators providing front-office support.
  • Ensure critical functions such as customer service, billing, and dispatching are managed effectively.
  • Address escalations and attend customer meetings to resolve concerns or strengthen relationships.
  • Recruit, interview, hire, and train new coordinators while overseeing daily workflows.
  • Handle employee discipline and terminations in accordance with company policy.
  • Collaborate with the Rental Director to identify inefficiencies and manage projects.
  • Contribute to long-term planning initiatives aligned with company goals.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams across the organization.
  • Assist in managing procurement and rebalancing of assets, including rental and delivery fleets.
  • Inspire and motivate employees through encouragement and incentive programs.
  • Adapt strategies in response to market changes.
  • Perform additional tasks as requested by leadership.

Requirements

  • College degree in business, management, communications, or a related field (equivalent experience may be considered).
  • 7+ years of business experience, ideally in the rental industry.
  • Management experience in the rental industry strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management.
  • Knowledge of business and management principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of financial and accounting principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of project management principles and practices.
  • Basic information technology skills preferred.
