In this role, you will be responsible for lead generation, cold calling, and the development and presentation of proposals. You will engage with both regular and prospective customers, answering their questions about products, prices, availability, and credit terms. Your ability to recommend products based on customer needs and interests will be crucial. You will also prepare estimates and bids tailored to specific customer requirements, and consult with clients post-sale to resolve any issues and provide ongoing support. Responsibilities

  • Answer customers' questions about products, prices, availability, product uses, and credit terms
  • Recommend products to customers based on their needs and interests
  • Contact regular and prospective customers to demonstrate products, explain features, and solicit orders
  • Estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery dates
  • Consult with clients after sales or contract signings to resolve problems and provide ongoing support
  • Prepare estimates and bids that meet specific customer needs
  • Identify prospective customers using business directories, leads from existing clients, and participation in organizations and trade shows
  • Arrange and direct delivery and installation of products and equipment
  • Monitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales
  • Deliver prepared sales talks to persuade potential customers to purchase products or services
  • Contact businesses or individuals by telephone to solicit sales
  • Explain products or services and prices, and answer customer questions
  • Obtain customer information and enter orders into computers
  • Record names, addresses, purchases, and reactions of prospects contacted
  • Adjust sales scripts to better target specific individuals
  • Obtain names and telephone numbers of potential customers from various sources
  • Respond to correspondence from customers or follow up on initial sales contacts
  • Maintain records of contacts, accounts, and orders
  • Support location and rental customers, including rental counter activities as needed
  • Complete other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of customer service experience required
  • At least 2 years of sales experience required, transportation sales preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Bilingual, Spanish preferred
  • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required
  • Ability to work independently and deal with people
  • Flexibility and strong written/oral communication skills are required
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
  • Willingness to travel as necessary and work the required schedule
