About the position

The Rental Services Territory Manager at Foley, Inc. is responsible for identifying, initiating contact, and establishing relationships with industrial, commercial, and construction customers. This role requires influencing buyers or decision-makers in alignment with the company's mission statement and core business values to meet or exceed both territorial and corporate business goals. The manager will provide innovative solutions to customers' needs through the sale and rental of Caterpillar and Allied equipment, ensuring that customer satisfaction is prioritized throughout the process. In this position, the manager will create and propose rental and sale quotes for current and prospective customers, ensuring that all proposals are tailored to meet the specific needs of each client. Attendance at trade shows, conventions, and corporate events is also a key responsibility, as it allows the manager to represent Foley, Inc. and build brand awareness within the industry. The manager will initiate rental and sales orders with coordinators by providing essential information, including purchase order numbers, rental rates, sales prices, trucking rates, delivery details, and delivery expectations. Additionally, the Rental Services Territory Manager will provide clear explanations of company policies and procedures to customers, ensuring transparency and understanding. Timely initiation, completion, and submission of sales-related reports and documentation are crucial to maintaining established business systems records within a 48-hour timeframe. The manager will also play a role in resolving customer disputes related to sales, rental, and service issues, ensuring that customer concerns are addressed promptly and effectively. The territory for this position covers Morris County, NJ, and requires a proactive approach to managing customer relationships and driving sales growth.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in customer service, heavy equipment, or rental industry with progressive sales experience.
  • Knowledge of general business practices and the roles of other departments in business operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong time management, team building, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Adobe Reader, and related software.
