About the position

Ziegler CAT is seeking a full-time Yard Operator responsible for overseeing the equipment entering and leaving the yard, ensuring efficient and safe processes, and supporting customer inquiries while maintaining the strong Ziegler brand image in the yard and rental facility.

Responsibilities

• Ships, receives, and operates equipment in the yard
• Promptly greets and assists customers in the yard
• Cleans and preps equipment for rental usage
• Ensures proper documentation of incoming/outgoing equipment
• Maintains a clean and orderly yard that creates an efficient rental operations process
• Maintains grounds including snow removal
• Monitors and maintains fuel and fluid levels for shops and on branch machinery
• Parks equipment in designated areas, according to appearance and guidelines
• Works collaboratively on a team
• Provides assistance to other departments as requested
• Completes responsibilities safely

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 3+ years experience required operating equipment or related duties
• Ability to operate machinery and perform job duties safely required
• Clean driving record
• Knowledge of Ziegler's rental equipment
