About the position

The Membership and Credentialing Representative II at TransUnion plays a crucial role in managing the credentialing process, ensuring compliance with local governmental regulations, and providing excellent customer service. This position requires a blend of analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with various stakeholders. The role is hybrid, allowing for both virtual and in-person work, fostering a dynamic and flexible work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform due diligence examinations and investigations on complex cases based on business needs.
  • Authenticate end users' permissible purposes and authorized uses according to local regulations.
  • Conduct in-depth analytics to make informed decisions on complex requests.
  • Utilize third-party tools and online resources for investigations and verifications.
  • Determine and verify applicants' compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Assess and validate the legitimacy of applicants' businesses based on local government requirements.
  • Enforce TransUnion policies regarding credentialing and recommend amendments as necessary.
  • Provide hands-on training to entry-level associates as needed.
  • Collaborate with management, customers, and sales for complex problem-solving.
  • Maintain service level agreement (SLA) requirements for quality and production.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of credentialing experience or a combination of credentialing and TransUnion work experience.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze various types of business information.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to escalate issues when necessary.
  • Consistent management and processing of assigned work in a timely manner.
  • Independent judgment to render membership approval or declination with minimal oversight.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain focus in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills and strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient to advanced office computer skills and ability to navigate the web securely.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters.
