About the position

The Rep Processing role at Ally Financial is focused on ensuring compliance and efficiency in processing dealer transactions. This position requires a blend of analytical skills and effective communication to resolve inquiries and maintain high service standards. The role is hybrid, requiring three days in the office and two days of remote work, and emphasizes the importance of accuracy and diligence in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

  • Complete 100% daily reports and resolve internal and external inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Timely review and audit reports for compliance with policy guidelines.
  • Navigate multiple computer systems to complete in-depth account analysis, research, and manage monetary transactions.
  • Mitigate risk by looking beyond the obvious for information or behaviors that may warrant investigation and/or escalation.
  • Exercise judgment to research and solve operational problems where the answer is not apparent.
  • Proactively identify and recommend solutions to improve existing procedures and business processes to meet the changing needs of the business and customer.
  • Maintain elevated levels of accuracy and diligence, identifying any fraud or potentially fraudulent information.
  • Collaborate with dealers, sales, underwriting, funding teams, and Regional Business Centers to resolve deficiencies or inquiries.
  • Support various business and/or department level projects.
  • Clearly & professionally communicate items requiring resolution to dealer/internal customer via phone or email in a timely manner.
  • Document detailed actions taken to resolve exceptions in the system of record.
  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing as needed.
  • Complete required compliance training according to department deadlines.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree in business related discipline preferred.
  • Prior experience in financial services or similar industry needed.
  • Prior phone handling experience preferred.
  • Effective communication skills in both written and verbal, and ability to foster strong working relationships.
  • Above average computer knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.

Nice-to-haves

  • Accounting background may be used as proxy for experience.
  • Experience in a high-volume environment.
