About the position
The Repair Coordinator at Stanley Black & Decker will play a crucial role in the Tools & Outdoor team, focusing on developing and implementing processes for warranty and customer repair orders. This position involves coordinating repair schedules, managing relationships with subcontractors, and providing technical support to distributors, all while ensuring efficiency and quality in repair operations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a quoting process for all incoming warranty and customer repair orders
- Work in conjunction with Quality & Operations for warranty determinations
- Track all warranty costs, analyze root cause(s) and implement countermeasures
- Efficiently coordinate warranty and customer repair schedules in a timely manner
- Source and facilitate contracts with subcontractors to complete repair work as needed
- Establish and track metrics relevant to warranty and repair processes
- Create and maintain invoicing process for completed repair work
- Manage long term relationships, contracts and performance levels with customers and sub-contractors
- Provide technical repair support to Distributors
- Manage Distributor repair and warranty program
Requirements
- 5 years of mid-level electrical experience
- Bachelor's degree in electrical/mechanical study preferred
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and work independently
- Strong technical background with engineering acumen
- Sense of urgency and self-motivation
