About the position

The Repair Production Manager at Metso will oversee the Mesa repair shop production process, ensuring timely project completion in accordance with OEM standards. This role involves collaboration with planners and estimators to prepare schedules, estimate costs, and manage budgets while enforcing a clean and safe production environment through lean practices.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee repair production operations in the Mesa Service Center, including resource management and work order management.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture and ensure compliance with legislative and Metso HSE requirements.
  • Ensure production activities adhere to Metso quality control standards and procedures.
  • Collaborate with Mesa Repairs Planners and Estimators to estimate budgets and schedules for repair production activities.
  • Assess project and resource requirements for repair service jobs.
  • Create and organize repair service production schedules.
  • Optimize resource allocation and maintain appropriate staffing levels for production operations.
  • Conduct ongoing production inspections and mitigate risks.
  • Monitor repair service production activities to resolve issues.
  • Initiate machinery maintenance and new investment requirements.
  • Report repair production status and estimate to complete (ETC) for each job.
  • Act as the main contact for customers and third-party vendors on repair service projects.
  • Perform miscellaneous tasks and special projects as required.

Requirements

  • 4+ years' experience in manufacturing, construction, or mining-related industry preferred.
  • Shop management experience is desirable.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills in a workshop environment.
  • Knowledge of production management and performance evaluation concepts.
  • Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations.
  • Advanced organizational and leadership skills.
  • Effective decision-making abilities focused on achieving outcomes.
  • Strong customer service and satisfaction capabilities.
  • Skilled in establishing and maintaining partnerships within the organization.
  • High level of expertise in product specifications and mechanical concepts.
  • Proficient in managing multiple tasks across various projects.
  • Willingness to engage in problem-solving opportunities.
  • High motivation and focus on results.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Computer skills, particularly in MS Office; proficiency in SAP or RMS is favorable.
