About the position

The Repair Production Manager at Metso Outotec will oversee the Mesa repair shop production process, ensuring timely project completion in accordance with OEM standards. This role involves collaborating with planners and estimators to prepare schedules, estimate costs, and manage budgets while promoting a proactive safety culture and enforcing quality control standards. The position requires effective resource management and optimization to meet production goals and deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee repair production operations in the Mesa Service Center, including resource management and performance management.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture and ensure compliance with legislative and Metso HSE requirements.
  • Ensure production activities adhere to Metso quality control standards and procedures.
  • Collaborate with Mesa Repairs Planners and Estimators to estimate budgets and schedules for repair production activities.
  • Assess project requirements and manage resource allocation for repair service jobs.
  • Create and organize repair service production schedules to optimize resource use.
  • Conduct ongoing production inspections and identify areas needing rework or risk mitigation.
  • Monitor repair service production activities and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Initiate machinery maintenance and identify new investment requirements.
  • Act as the main contact for customers and third-party vendors regarding repair service projects.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in manufacturing, construction, or mining-related industry.
  • Shop management experience is desirable.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills in a workshop environment.
  • Knowledge of production management and performance evaluation concepts.
  • Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations.
  • Advanced organizational and leadership skills with a focus on decision-making.
  • Strong customer service capabilities and ability to maintain partnerships within the organization.
  • High level of expertise in product specifications and mechanical concepts.
  • Proficient in multitasking and prioritizing in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills, including public speaking and interpersonal abilities.
  • Computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office; proficiency in SAP or RMS is favorable.
