We have been contracted by Calhoun Community College to recruit an instructor for the Pharmacy Technician class. This position is essential for delivering high-quality education to aspiring pharmacy technicians. The instructor will be responsible for teaching a standardized curriculum that covers essential topics in pharmacy technology, including pharmaceutical math, IV insertion, and compounding medications. The course is scheduled to run from June 25, 2024, to September 17, 2024, with classes held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM. All curriculum and materials will be provided, allowing the instructor to focus on delivering engaging and effective instruction. The ideal candidate will possess at least seven years of pharmacy work experience and hold a current license or registry that is verifiable within the state of Alabama. The instructor will be expected to instruct and evaluate students in their area of specialty, track student attendance and grades, and implement and adhere to all school policies. Experience with IV insertion and compounding medications is strongly preferred, as is a comfort level with teaching basic pharmaceutical math. Teaching experience is highly desired, as the instructor will play a crucial role in shaping the future of pharmacy technicians in the community.
