About the position

The Replenishment Assistant plays a vital role in the Replenishment Buying organization at US Foods, focusing on supporting operations for replenishment activities at the market level. This position is essential for ensuring operational success and enhancing customer experiences by managing logistics, sales, and costing coordination for product orders. The role involves collaboration with sales and supply chain teams to ensure complete orders and effective inventory management, contributing to the overall efficiency of the replenishment process.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily replenishment duties and KPI monitoring in collaboration with Area Buyers and Replenishment Leads.
  • Oversee the Credit Debit Memo Request process and drop ship billings, ensuring timely communication of stock status and shortfalls to the sales team.
  • Process all drop ships and execute billing for Vendor to Customer drop ship orders.
  • Identify slow and dead products, executing strategies to move them out of the warehouse through various means such as shipping to vendors or transferring to other markets.
  • Approve customer credits for spoilage and out-of-date products, researching if these can be billed back to the vendor.
  • Accumulate vendor billings from various departments and enter them into the CASIS billing system.
  • Assist with the Alert Date process for short shelf-life products and communicate demand changes to the Replenishment Service Center.
  • Support the Area buying team with routine buying support tasks and contribute to report reviews, raising issues as necessary.
  • Follow up on late POs and resolve costing issues, serving as the first point of contact for area service issues.
  • Respond to demand signal adjustments (DCTs) and special orders (SODS) from cross-functional groups.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the Replenishment Operations team.

Requirements

  • 1 year of replenishment work experience.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with cross-functional team members.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Excellent time management skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Some college experience is preferred.
