About the position
We are seeking reliable and skilled Recovery Agents / Tow Truck Drivers and Spotters to join our team at L.A.W Recovery & Investigations. As a Recovery Agent, your primary responsibility will be to safely and efficiently repossess vehicles and transport them to various locations. This role is crucial in ensuring that vehicles are recovered in a timely manner while maintaining the highest standards of safety and customer service. The potential pay for this position ranges from $38,000 to over $100,000 per year, depending on performance and incentives. Our compensation structure is competitive and highly incentivized, with top agents earning well over $100,000 annually. In this role, you will operate a tow truck to transport vehicles to designated locations, ensuring that all vehicles are loaded and unloaded using appropriate equipment. It is essential to secure vehicles properly to guarantee safe transportation. Additionally, you will perform basic automotive repair tasks, such as changing tires or jump-starting batteries, to assist stranded motorists and address their concerns effectively. Maintaining accurate records of each tow, including vehicle information and destination, is also a critical part of your responsibilities. You will need to follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while operating the tow truck and communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members to coordinate assignments efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Operate a tow truck to transport vehicles to designated locations
- Load and unload vehicles onto the tow truck using appropriate equipment
- Secure vehicles properly to ensure safe transportation
- Perform basic automotive repair tasks, such as changing tires or jump-starting batteries
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting stranded motorists and addressing their concerns
- Maintain accurate records of each tow, including vehicle information and destination
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while operating the tow truck
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members to coordinate assignments
Requirements
- Must be able to pass a BSIS background check to obtain a repossession license
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Previous tow truck driving experience is a must
- Excellent driving skills
- Problem-solving abilities and conflict management skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required
Nice-to-haves
- Previous repossession / spotting experience is a plus but not needed
