WTIC, FOX61 in Hartford/New Haven is looking for a top-notch Reporter/Multi-Skilled Journalist to work part time and on weekends. We are seeking an aggressive, creative storyteller who creates unique and shareable stories for all platforms through memorable writing, photography, and editing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing story ideas, writing, shooting, and editing news stories for on-air broadcasting. This role requires writing in an exciting, captivating, and authentic manner, as well as developing original content through social listening and independent sources. The successful candidate will deliver on-air news events in an engaging, exciting, and accurate manner, interview news subjects, and research for facts and credibility. Additionally, the reporter will develop news sources for general assignment and special areas of interest, produce news stories that are unique and captivating, and write and post daily on all digital platforms including social media. The role also involves enterprise news stories and using creative production techniques such as graphics and social and user-generated content to enhance stories.
