About the position

The Reports Analyst position at the Department of Homeland Security's Office of Response and Recovery involves developing and managing disaster-focused dashboards for both internal and external audiences. The role requires a process-oriented individual with strong communication skills and experience in dashboard development using Tableau or similar software, as well as proficiency in SQL for data management.

Responsibilities

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining dashboards in Tableau and/or PowerBI according to user requirements.
  • Managing and administering software credentials, permission structures, and content management.
  • Providing technical, design, and development support to other dashboard developers.
  • Creating and managing Standard Operating Procedures and developing new processes.
  • Working with Structured Query Language (SQL) to understand data structure, and consulting with data owners to clean, validate, standardize, and consolidate data sets.

Requirements

  • One full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the IC-11 level in the Federal government.
  • Experience extracting data and/or information from a variety of sources using SQL language or similar.
  • Experience using data visualization and/or business intelligence software (such as Tableau, Power BI, etc.).
  • Experience communicating information to stakeholders.
