About the position

The Representative, Payoff position at Carrington Mortgage Holdings involves reviewing and processing payoff quote requests from borrowers and their representatives. The role requires ensuring that requests are valid and complete, generating written payoff quotes, and collaborating with internal teams to finalize processing. This position is essential for supporting the Mortgage Lending Division and ensuring compliance with relevant guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Review initial payoff quote requests submitted by borrowers or their representatives to ensure validity and completeness.
• Complete a full review of payoff quote requests to determine if proper authorizations are included.
• Set up requests within the workflow system for processing.
• Provide written payoff quotes according to company policy and procedures, ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines.
• Support the internal Mortgage Lending Division by generating payoff quotes.
• Collaborate with internal business units when payoff funds are received to provide posting instructions and finalize processing.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One to three years of administrative experience in a professional environment, preferably in the financial services industry.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required.
• Outstanding attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to interact with senior management.
• Ability to organize and prioritize own work schedule on a short-term basis.
• Strong math skills, with the ability to balance and check results for accuracy.
• Ability to compose letters and communicate ideas orally with others accurately and audibly.

• Knowledge of relevant industry-specific software packages preferred.
