About the position

The Sales Development Representative at Estes Express Lines is a key member of the Inside Sales team, responsible for generating significant gross profit by building and managing a robust sales pipeline. This role involves locating, contacting, and qualifying leads to support corporate account managers and field account managers in achieving sales targets. The representative will handle inbound leads from various channels and proactively seek out outbound leads, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and effective lead management.

Responsibilities

  • Locate, contact, and qualify data to build the sales pipeline.
  • Receive, respond to, and record inbound leads from multiple channels.
  • Qualify outbound leads as determined by Sales Management.
  • Create records in Customer Resource Management Tool or Sales Automation Tool for all qualified leads.
  • Pass qualified leads to appropriate sales staff to maximize business opportunities.
  • Cultivate and inform the sales pipeline for lead prioritization and workflow improvement.
  • Evaluate passed leads performance and maintain CRM records reflecting close/win ratios.
  • Collaborate with customer support to resolve customer issues and ensure satisfaction.
  • Research and recommend improvements for customer satisfaction.
  • Manage and maintain customer file records in CRM and Sales Automation Tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Industry experience or previous inside/outside sales experience preferred.
  • Salesforce Accredited Sales Professional preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including verbal, listening, and written communication.
  • Ability to interact positively with internal and external customers.
  • Goal-oriented with the ability to manage adversity and prioritize tasks.
  • Self-directed and accountable with good organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift approximately 20 lbs. or more as required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM tools.
  • Previous experience in a high-volume sales environment.
