About the position

The Sales Development Representative is a key role within the Inside Sales team, focused on generating significant gross profit by building and qualifying a robust sales pipeline. This position involves engaging with potential leads through various channels, qualifying them, and ensuring they are passed on to the appropriate sales personnel to maximize business opportunities. The role requires collaboration with multiple departments to enhance customer satisfaction and improve sales processes.

Responsibilities

  • Locate, contact, and qualify data to build the sales pipeline.
  • Receive, respond to, and record inbound leads from various channels.
  • Qualify outbound leads and create records in CRM or Sales Automation Tools.
  • Determine next steps for qualified leads and pass them to appropriate sales staff.
  • Cultivate and inform the sales pipeline for lead prioritization.
  • Develop strategies to manage data and maintain lead qualification.
  • Evaluate lead performance and maintain CRM records for close/win ratios.
  • Transition leads between sales staff to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with customer support to resolve customer issues.
  • Research and recommend improvements for customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Industry experience or previous inside/outside sales experience preferred.
  • Salesforce Accredited Sales Professional preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including verbal, listening, and written communication.
  • Ability to interact positively with internal and external customers.
  • Goal-oriented with the ability to manage adversity.
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Self-directed and accountable individual.
  • Ability to lift approximately 20 lbs. or more as required.
  • Compliance with company policies and procedures.
