About the position

The Reputation Risk Manager will lead a team responsible for the 2nd Line Reputation Risk Program, providing independent oversight of reputation risk across the organization. This role involves collaboration with various business units to analyze data, identify, measure, monitor, control, and report on reputation risk, which is critical to the financial condition and resilience of the company. The position requires building effective relationships with key areas such as Investor Relations, Marketing, and Legal, and involves high-visibility responsibilities including quarterly assessments and governance of reputation risk processes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and participate in the quarterly reputation risk assessment process.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with business units to understand and assess reputation exposures.
  • Assess control environment and provide oversight for key reputation risk processes.
  • Maintain, develop, and implement the reputation risk governance framework, policy, and procedures.
  • Assist with the review and implementation of the reputation risk taxonomy.
  • Monitor changes in the external environment to assess potential reputation risk impacts.
  • Participate in the annual risk appetite and metric calibration process.
  • Assess reputation risks of new or modified products and services, and strategic initiatives.
  • Complete ad hoc research or documentation requests, including industry research and postmortem analysis of incidents.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree; MBA preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in risk management, audit, or related field in a large bank (over $100 billion in asset size).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior risk assessment experience is highly preferred.
  • Experience with Archer (GRC) tool is highly preferred.
  • Strong executive-level communication skills.
  • Experience in analysis and aggregation of quantitative and qualitative data.
