The Research Administrator II is responsible for coordinating the administrative and financial aspects of all sponsored projects and research-related activities and personnel within area of responsibility. Responsibilities

• Coordinate the administrative and financial aspects of all sponsored projects and research-related activities.
• Manage research administration and grant/contract activities.
• Interpret and apply federal regulations and organizational policies and procedures.
• Formulate and implement policies related to sponsored projects.
• Train, lead, and mentor staff involved in research administration.

Requirements

• Minimum two (2) years of progressive experience in sponsored grants and contracts administration.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university/college or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work independently with excellent interpersonal and team building skills.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage many competing timetables and responsibilities.
• Working knowledge of federal electronic/web-based grant submission process.

Nice-to-haves

• Three (3) to five (5) years of progressively responsible experience with federal grant and contract regulations.
• Experience and proven ability managing research administration and grant/contract activities.
