CNA is currently seeking a Research Analyst for our Center for Data Management and Analytics within the Institute for Public Research. This position is crucial as the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) navigates the complexities of increased air traffic demand, the integration of new entrants such as uncrewed aircraft systems (UAS), air taxis, and commercial space launches, alongside the application of emerging technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML). The Research Analyst will play a pivotal role in addressing these challenges through data-driven analyses that yield actionable recommendations. The successful candidate will join a dedicated team focused on delivering high-impact solutions aimed at modernizing FAA concepts, systems, and operations to meet the evolving needs of the fast-paced air traffic control environment. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the FAA's mission and enhance the delivery of aviation services for the public good. The Research Analyst will be responsible for eliciting stakeholder needs, generating requirements, developing operational concepts and use cases, and researching the application of AI/ML technologies.
