CNA is currently seeking a Research Analyst for our Center for Data Management and Analytics within the Institute for Public Research. This role is pivotal as the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) navigates the complexities of increased air traffic demand, the integration of new entrants such as uncrewed aircraft systems (UAS), air taxis, and commercial space launches, alongside the application of emerging technologies like Augmented Reality, Mixed Reality, and Virtual Reality (AR/MR/VR). The Research Analyst will be instrumental in delivering data-driven analyses that yield actionable recommendations, combining insights from advanced technologies, modern architectures, and cybersecurity best practices with a deep understanding of the FAA's mission. As a key team member, the Research Analyst will engage in eliciting stakeholder needs, generating requirements, developing operational concepts and use cases, and researching the application of AR/MR/VR technologies. This role involves designing analyses, modeling, and simulations, while evaluating the application and trade-offs of various technologies. The analyst will contribute recommendations based on recent advances and best practices to implement modern systems and technologies that enhance the future of aviation while ensuring safety and security. CNA promotes an inclusive culture that values diverse backgrounds and perspectives, fostering a flexible and engaging work environment that encourages iterative and creative collaboration throughout the problem-solving process.
