Responsibilities

• Develop and apply statistical software for fitting state space models (SSMs) to infer latent dynamical mechanisms of neural circuit dynamics.
• Collaborate with the Associate Research Scientist - Software team in the Center for Computational Neuroscience.
• Assist CCN researchers in the statistical analysis of neural data.
• Manage the editorial and publication processes for conference papers, including responding to reviewers and drafting presentations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in biology, mathematics, computer science, or a related technical discipline.
• One to two years of experience in computational science.
• Experience in analysis, software, and algorithm development, modeling, and scientific simulation.
• Working knowledge of programming languages such as Python, C++, and Java.
• Strong oral and written communication, data documentation, and presentation skills.
• Collaborative and interpersonal skills.
