About the position

LMI is seeking a Research Analyst to support the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Research and Engineering's Rapid Defense Experimentation Reserve (RDER) initiative. This role involves conducting risk-to-transition analyses for various RDER projects, focusing on the verification of production readiness and operational utility of prototypes. The position requires an Active Top Secret or TS clearance with SCI eligibility and involves on-site work in the National Capital Region.

Responsibilities

• Conduct risk-to-transition analyses for RDER projects focusing on DOTMLPF-P.
• Acquire information about DoD technologies, training, experiments, organizations, and doctrine.
• Identify trends and draw conclusions from data through strong analytical abilities.
• Prepare finished analytical products, including briefings and technical reports.
• Travel to and/or work from government facilities in the National Capital Region, including the Pentagon and Mark Center.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a field that requires research and writing.
• 3-6 years of experience conducting research and analysis of written materials and through interviews.
• Demonstrable advanced research, critical thinking, analysis, and writing experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated, organized, and willing to work as part of a team.
• Active Top Secret or TS clearance with SCI eligibility.
