About the position

The Research Analyst I (Qualitative) position at Arbor Research Collaborative for Health involves contributing to ongoing research projects and supporting the growth of the organization. The role requires collaboration with scientific investigators and project leaders to develop and execute qualitative and mixed methods research, including primary data collection and analysis. The analyst will also synthesize existing information on health topics and assist in preparing research findings for presentation.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate research development and ensure timely completion of assignments with the Managing Analyst and Lead Investigators.
  • Develop and execute qualitative and mixed methods research approaches, including primary data collection through focus groups and key informant interviews.
  • Analyze data using qualitative coding software such as Dedoose, NVivo, or Atlas.
  • Gather and synthesize existing information on health and healthcare topics through environmental scans, literature reviews, and gap analysis.
  • Contribute to various analytical tasks, including quick-turnaround data requests and analyses for investigators or committees.
  • Assist authors in preparing tables and figures for written materials.
  • Prepare research results for presentation in public forums and attend committee meetings and conferences as needed.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in public health, health services administration, or related field (Epidemiology, Economics, Public Policy, Social Work) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 1 year of demonstrated work experience in health or healthcare fields, including program evaluation, quality measurement, and payment models.
  • At least 1 year of experience with qualitative and quantitative analytic methods in healthcare.
  • Strong writing ability and oral communication skills with diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively under tight timelines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience coding data in qualitative analytic software such as Dedoose, MAXQDA, or NVivo.
  • Experience conducting focus groups and cognitive interviews.
  • Understanding of federal healthcare programs and policies.
