About the position

Silicon Valley Bank (SVB) is seeking an experienced professional to manage market research projects from inception to completion. This is an important role within the Client Insights team, which is responsible for representing the client voice in decision making across the organization. The individual will independently manage all aspects of the research process, including scoping, research design, analysis, interpretation of results, and delivery of presentations to support various initiatives through close collaboration with teams throughout the organization. This includes developing cohesive measurement strategies and methodologies to influence business decision-making processes, analyzing various sources of data to identify market and competitive trends and insights, and translating insights into clear, practical recommendations through creative and compelling presentations. The candidate will represent the client in strategic discussions, inform briefs, develop product and company-level narratives, and answer executive-level questions to ensure that action is taken on insights. The right candidate should be able to cultivate consultative-based relationships and work as a strategic partner to senior leaders, supporting decision-making with powerful client insights. The candidate must be results-oriented, client-focused, and possess excellent written and verbal/visual communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Independently manage all aspects of the research process from scoping to research design, analysis, interpretation of results, and delivery of presentations.
  • Develop cohesive measurement strategies and methodologies to influence business decision-making processes.
  • Analyze various sources of data to identify market and competitive trends and insights.
  • Translate insights into clear, practical recommendations through creative and compelling presentations.
  • Represent the client in strategic discussions, inform briefs, and develop product and company-level narratives.
  • Answer executive-level questions to ensure that action is taken on insights.
  • Cultivate consultative-based relationships and work as a strategic partner to senior leaders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of experience in Research, Statistical Methodology, Data Analysis, or Database Maintenance OR High School Diploma or GED and 9 years of experience in Research, Statistical Methodology, Data Analysis, or Database Maintenance.
  • At least 5-7 years of customer research experience, with proficiency in both qualitative and quantitative research.
  • Sound understanding of research principles and design methodologies.
  • Resourceful, pragmatic, and flexible while maintaining research standards.
  • Data savvy with strong attention to detail and accuracy; proficient in SPSS and Q.
  • Strong organization and problem-solving skills to prioritize multiple projects and tasks.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in B2B, financial services, or in the innovation sector.
  • User experience research experience.
