The Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine at Florida International University (FIU) is seeking a Research Analyst II to join its team of professionals. This position plays a crucial role in supporting activities related to student educational data analysis, evaluation, interpretation, and reporting. The Research Analyst II will actively participate in new data collection activities and support various research initiatives. This includes the creation of new survey instruments and questionnaires, monitoring the data collection process, conducting record keeping, and maintaining the documentation system. In addition to data collection, the Research Analyst II will provide direct support to research using tools such as REDCap and Qualtrics. The role involves managing data, responding to queries, and fulfilling specific requests for data summary statements from department members. Collaboration with other data research activities within the department is essential, as is mentoring HWCOM students in small groups and assisting with teaching activities carried out by the Division. The analyst will demonstrate data analysis processes, concepts, and methodologies to students, helping them understand data cleaning, preparation, and management. The Research Analyst II will also participate in data analysis reviews and activities with HWCOM students and postgraduate students at affiliated institutions, contributing to the evidence-based curriculum and the MDR 7910 course. Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to required security measures is paramount, as is performing duties with a high level of information protection. The position may also involve other related duties as assigned by the supervisor, ensuring a comprehensive approach to the responsibilities of the role.
