About the position

The position involves providing leadership and expertise in conducting complex research activities at Duke University School of Medicine. The individual will lead various independent and team activities, ensuring effective data collection and analysis to support research objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coordinate, and perform complex independent and team activities involved in research.
  • Coordinate the development of forms and questionnaires, applying qualitative and quantitative research techniques.
  • Write procedures manuals for data collection and coding.
  • Evaluate and interpret collected data, preparing oral presentations or written reports.
  • Establish work procedures and select sources of information for research.
  • Set up interviews with appropriate authorities or subjects and prepare correspondence for data collection.
  • Confer with the principal investigator to develop research project plans and discuss results interpretation.
  • Train lower-level personnel and peers in research methodology and supervise their work.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a field related to the specific position.
  • Master's degree is strongly preferred.
  • Four years of experience in research/data analysis or a related position, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
