About the position

The Securities Intern role at The Brattle Group offers an opportunity for undergraduate students to apply economic concepts in a professional services environment. Interns will enhance their research and data analysis skills while collaborating with experts in various fields of economics. This internship emphasizes teamwork, communication, and the development of innovative solutions for clients, all within a supportive and casual work atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Build economic, financial, and operational models using Excel, including valuation models and estimating cost of capital.
• Conduct comprehensive qualitative research, including financial statements, market analysis, literature reviews, and document examination.
• Assist in preparing expert reports and presentations for expert witnesses, clarifying complex economic and financial concepts in legal contexts.
• Collaborate with team members at all levels to develop robust solutions for clients.

Requirements

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree in a quantitative discipline such as economics, finance, business, or accounting with strong academic performance.
• Demonstrated teamwork and leadership skills, as project work is done almost exclusively on teams.
• Intellectual curiosity and creativity, with a desire to learn and approach problems innovatively.
• High degree of ownership and commitment to delivering quality work and engaging in excellent client services.
• Background or demonstrated interest in corporate finance and/or accounting.
